Do I have to pay to use MowProHQ?+
No. Free includes the core dashboard for up to 2 team members: scheduling, customers, quotes, invoicing, reports, the customer portal, and a website editor. New accounts also get 30 days of Growth. After the trial, keep dispatch, GPS, chemicals, timeclock, unlimited seats, and a live website on Growth ($39/mo). Pro ($89/mo) adds AI website tools, Get Found, and review automation.
Does dual pricing / cash discount come with every plan?+
Yes, on Free, Growth, and Pro. Quotes and invoices can show Regular vs Cash, a cash-discount dual price legal in all 50 states. That lets customers choose how to pay while keeping card fees out of your cash rate.
What's the difference between the software plan and the processing rate?+
Your software plan unlocks features. If you take cards through NMI, your card rate follows that plan automatically: Free stays at 4% + $0.30, while Growth and Pro get Premium 3.5% + $0.30. You do not pick a separate NMI tier.
Can I use Stripe instead of NMI?+
Yes. You can connect your own Stripe account. You pay Stripe's card processing fees plus a flat 1.5% MowProHQ platform fee on each card payment. NMI remains our preferred processor and includes plan-based rates with no extra MowProHQ platform fee.
Can I try Growth features before paying?+
Every new account gets 30 days of Growth: dispatch, GPS crew tracking, chemical and spray programs, timeclock, unlimited seats, and a live website with lead inbox. Get Found, review automation, and AI website generation stay on Pro.
Is there a fee if I never take card payments?+
No. Cash and check payments are always free. If you invoice with cash/check only, you pay nothing beyond your software plan. Dual pricing still shows Regular vs Cash so customers understand the cash discount when they do pay by card.
Can I buy extra AI credits?+
Yes. Growth and Pro can add an AI credit boost for $19/mo. It adds extra daily credits for social captions, images, and message drafts while the subscription is active. Credits reset every 24 hours and do not roll over.
How does Business phone work?+
Business phone is optional at $19/mo on any plan. You get a local number for visit reminders, on-the-way texts, two-way replies in Conversations, and missed-call text back. We do not port your existing number — put the new one on quotes as the number to text, or forward unanswered calls to it if you are not using the AI receptionist. Live customer SMS waits on carrier approval, often a few days. It is separate from the AI receptionist number.
How does the AI receptionist add-on work?+
It is optional and separate from Business phone texts. $29/mo includes a dedicated answering number and 40 conversations. It looks up returning customers, takes quote requests and questions, can read visits already on the schedule, and files a lead — it never quotes a price or books a job. Keep your existing number and forward unanswered or after-hours calls. Extra answered calls are $0.79 each. Hangups do not count.
Can I change plans later?+
Yes. Upgrade or downgrade your software plan anytime. Your NMI card rate updates with the plan automatically.
Can I subscribe from the iPhone app?+
Yes. Growth ($39/mo) and Pro ($89/mo) are available as App Store In-App Purchases on iPhone and iPad. Download the Android app on Google Play. Manage or cancel iOS subscriptions in Apple ID Settings. Optional add-ons like the AI credit boost are billed on the web.
