    AI receptionist for lawn care

When you are on a mow, the line still answers. The receptionist looks up the caller, takes a quote request or a question, can read visits already on the schedule, and files the work as a lead. It never quotes a price or books the job. If you also have Business phone, it can text a confirmation.

What it does on a call

Point customers at this number for after hours, missed calls, and overflow. It works the phones like a small office: one question at a time, their words, then a saved request you can open from Leads and Conversations.

    • Answers after hours, missed calls, and overflow
    • Looks up the caller and greets returning customers by name
    • Reads upcoming visits already on the schedule if they ask (does not book, move, or cancel)
    • Takes a new quote request: name, callback number, address, service, preferred days, and notes
    • Files billing, “where’s the crew,” and other questions as a follow-up — not a fake quote
    • Reads the request back before saving it as a lead
    • Can text a confirmation from your Business phone number if they say yes
    • Can transfer to your cell during open hours if you set a transfer number

    What it will not do

The receptionist is intake, not dispatch. You still price the work and put it on the calendar. That is how a phone call does not turn into a promise the crew cannot keep.

    • Quote a price or a range
    • Book, move, or cancel a visit
    • Promise a crew will come out on a specific day
    • Use the same number as Business phone texts

A number that files the work

Pick an area code after checkout. We buy a dedicated answering number on the shared MowProHQ receptionist. Quote calls create a lead and a draft estimate. Questions file as a follow-up, not a fake quote. You can open either from Conversations.

    • Existing customers attach to the right property
    • Spoken service (mulch, trim, one-time mow) stays their words
    • Office gets one alert with the estimate and thread

    Keep your existing number

We do not port the number on your trucks or Google listing. Forward unanswered, busy, or after-hours calls to the receptionist, or list the new number on your site. Most shops keep the old number and forward it.

    • Keep the number customers already know. We do not port it.
    • Forward unanswered, busy, or after-hours calls from that line to the receptionist number.
    • Most US cell plans: *72 then the receptionist number to turn forwarding on, *73 to turn it off. Google Voice: Settings → Calls → Forwarding.
    • You can also list the receptionist number on Google Business, your website, and invoices. Many shops do both.
    • If you still want the phone to ring during the day, ask your carrier for no-answer / busy forwarding instead of forwarding every call.
    • Do not also forward that same line to the Business phone number. Voice goes to the receptionist; texts go out from Business phone.

    Priced the way owners shop

$29/mo includes 40 answered conversations. Extra answered calls are $0.79 on the next invoice. A conversation is an inbound call of about 25 seconds or more. Hangups do not count. The line stays on; we do not cut them off at 40.

    Separate from texts

Business phone ($19/mo) is the texting number. The receptionist is a different line. You can take texts without the AI, or add both. Confirmation SMS uses the texting number after carrier approval.

    Frequently asked questions

Does the AI receptionist quote prices?
No. It collects the request and files a draft estimate. You review the price before the customer sees one.
Can it tell a customer when we are coming?
Yes, for visits already on the schedule. It looks up the caller and reads the next stop. It will not book, move, or cancel a visit, and it will not promise a new day.
Can it transfer the call to my cell?
Yes, if you set a transfer number. It only transfers during open hours when the caller asks for a person, says it is urgent, or sounds upset. If you do not pick up, it stays on the line and takes the request.
Will callers get a confirmation text?
Only if they say yes, and only after the request is saved. That text sends from your Business phone number once carrier approval is live. The receptionist line itself does not send SMS.
    What counts as a conversation?
An answered inbound call of about 25 seconds or longer. Hangups and outbound calls do not count toward the 40 included or the $0.79 overage.
Is this included with Business phone?
No. They are separate add-ons on every software plan. Subscribe from Settings → Billing or Settings → Notifications → Receptionist.
Do I have to get a new number on my trucks or Google?
No. Keep the number customers already know and forward unanswered or after-hours calls to the receptionist. Most US cell plans use *72 to turn forwarding on and *73 to turn it off. Google Voice has a forwarding setting. You can also list the new number on your website. We do not port your existing line.
